Positive effects of activities and clubs

Children and young people’s involvement in activities and clubs can not only be beneficial to their development and health but also encourage social skills and interaction, increasing children and young people’s social networks and resilience.

Research conducted by the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) confirms that youth activities are beneficial to the development of children and young people. Their findings go on to suggest that participation in structured youth activities is better for young people than unstructured youth clubs.
